Owned and operated by Craig and Marti Parel, PSC is a family-owned business that carries out services related to professional repairs and services on all makes and models of heavy trucks and trailers, construction equipment and agricultural machinery.

The business has been the family passion for the last several years and recently expanded to include a six-bay shop, 24-hour roadside repair and a new suite of safety services.

Craig Parel Owner



Craig's passion lies in construction, and his career started at the University of Durban in the Civil Engineering Department as Chief Technician/Lan Manager. The role involved training future civil engineers in steel construction, bridge design, concrete, and asphalt work.

While residing in South Africa, he owned and operated an independent construction company but choosing to further his career, he moved to Canada in 2003 through a sponsored work permit with Option Machine and Repair, providing repair and machine services to central Alberta oilfield clients.  


Eventually becoming a permanent resident, Craig settled in the Drayton Valley area with his family and, in 2018, started Parel Services and Consulting with his wife, Marti.

Marti Parel Owner



Moving to Drayton Valley as a young child, Marti has been a resident of Drayton Valley for over 35 years and started her career as an Administrator with KOS Oilfield Transport, and advanced into the field of Safety in 2008.


As her career matured, she moved to Option Machine and Repair, and her interest in Safety became her primary focus as she realized the demand for safety administrators would lead her to her next career change. 


Starting her consulting services with one small company in 2016, she now supports five, small to mid-sized safety clients.
